Day Visits

We welcome day visitors who want to experience the beauty of Tambo Cóndor, whether for birdwatching, hiking, or simply taking in the view.

Guests who dine at the restaurant have full access to our birdwatching platforms and hiking trails as part of their visit.

If you are not planning to eat at the reserve, a modest entrance fee applies. This fee helps us maintain the trails, protect wildlife habitat, and support the ongoing restoration of the land.

We recommend making a reservation if you’d like to enjoy a meal during your visit—our restaurant features traditional Andean dishes and panoramic views where condors are often spotted overhead.

Do you require a guide that speaks a language other than Spanish?YesNo

Which language would you prefer?We can easily arrange English-speaking guides for your visit. With advance notice, we can often provide guides who speak French or German. Other languages may be more difficult to arrange, but not impossible—let us know your preference, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

Transportation

There is no public transportation directly to Tambo Condor. The nearest town is Pintag, and from there, the road to Tambo Cóndor is unpaved, with potholes and occasional heavy traffic on weekends and holidays.

Transportation Options:

Private Transfer:
We can arrange transportation for you from anywhere in the greater Quito area, including Mariscal Sucre International Airport. Let us know your arrival details, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Pickup from Pintag:
If you prefer to make your way to Pintag on your own, we can arrange a pickup from there. Please contact us in advance to schedule.
Driving Yourself:
You’re welcome to drive to Tambo Cóndor, but please be prepared: the road from Pintag is rough and unpaved. While a 4x4 vehicle is not required, it can make the trip more comfortable—especially if you plan to explore the surrounding area.
